Jason Woods

Here at steelroots, the phone had been ringing at least once a week…there’s was this guy who kept asking for devotional material for youth. He would make an order, we’d fill it and a few days later he’d call back for more. This went on for about 3 weeks before we said “Who is this guy?” “Maybe we should find out…”
So we did. We asked him who he was and what he was doing. Turned out it was Jason Woods. Jason is an adaptive motocross rider (adaptive means loss of an extremity) who, this past summer took home the bronze medal in the Super X Adaptive Motocross race at Summer X-games 15. His story is absolutely incredible. Without alluding to his story before you WATCH IT, Jason has overcome some incredible obstacles to return to being a successful Moto X rider.
Not only do they have an incredible story, but Jason and his wife Kelly have an incredible heart for the kingdom of God. They are such giving people, the kind that the Lord has called us all to be. I hope you will be inspired by their story, and that it challenges you to never give up hope, always lean on the Lord for your strength, and remember Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” You can see them at other Moto X events, spreading the love of God to all they come in contact with. Some events to name a few are the Extremity Games, as well as X Games 16.

What an incredible story…I hope that if I ever find myself in a similar situation I can rely on the Lord the way Jason has. It's amazing how faithful the Lord is and if you don't stray from him, he will reward you!

Wow!! Jason lives just across the street from me- but hearing his story never gets old. God is amazing!! Thank you for putting together a wonderful video- I watched this with my 10 year old son a few minutes ago and we were both drawn to tears. He has always looked up to Jason and he now realizes that the true heroes in this world are those that God appoints… We love you Jason!! Thank you STEELROOTS!!

Oh my goodness! That was an awesome story! I wish I was surrounded by people like Jason & his wife. To have that kind of faith is something we all should pray for everyday! It makes me realize that what I am going thru is going to be okay I put it in Jesus' hands. I hope everyone remembers just because things don't happen the way we think they should don't mean that God isn't in control or has forgotten about us & Jason's story proves that! Jason ~ May God continue to bless you and your family & thanks so much for sharing your story! It makes me hopeful!
