FOUR-DAY CHRISTIAN HIP-HOP CONCERT TO HIT CHARLOTTE

The Charlotte-based television show “Mixx Master’s Lounge” will host the live, in-studio concerts. DA’ T.R.U.T.H., L.A. Symphony, and others from the Christian Hip-Hop scene are scheduled to perform.

Charlotte, NC – Stellar Award-winning artist DA’ T.R.U.T.H., along with L.A. Symphony, K-Drama, and The Breax will hit the “Queen City” September 18 – 21, 2007 for a four-day Christian Hip-Hop extravaganza hosted by INSP – The Inspiration Network’s Charlotte-based television show Mixx Master’s Lounge. The concerts will be held at Media-Comm Studios, 9700 Southern Pine Blvd. in Charlotte, NC. Doors will open at 6:15pm each night.

Building on the foundation of his debut and sophomore albums and the DVD “DA’ T.R.U.T.H. & Friends Live,” DA’ T.R.U.T.H. recently released his heavily anticipated third CD, “Open Book.” The project includes guest appearances by a host of award-winning vocalists such as Donnie McClurkin, Tye Tribbett, and Lisa McClendon. Last year, DA’ T.R.U.T.H. was a featured artist on Kirk Franklin’s HERO Tour along with platinum-selling duo Mary Mary.

With a name that is both renowned and revered in the hip-hop community, L.A. Symphony was formed in 1997 during a time when West Coast Hip-Hop was better known for its gangster rap lyrics. The group rose through the ranks of the underground Hip-Hop scene on the heels of several break-out recordings. L.A. Symphony has performed with Christian and mainstream artists, including the Black Eyed Peas and Good Charlotte. The group recently dropped the new CD “Unleashed,” which features a collection of unreleased rarities, demos, and more.

K-Drama has released three solo albums, several compilations and mixtapes, and endless collaborations with many of today’s leaders in Holy Hip Hop since starting his music career at the tender age of 14. The Ohio native released his latest album, “Behind the Glory,” last fall. It features production from the Dove Award-winning Todd Collins who has produced for KJ-52, Grits, DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, and Out of Eden and Tony Stone, who has worked with DJ Maj, KJ-52, and Viktory.

The Breax exploded on the Southern California Hip-Hop and Spoken word scene and became crowd favorites at several well-known open mic venues. The group has shared the stage with Tonex, Fred Hammond, 4th Avenue Jones, L.A. Symphony, and others. This year, Rawkus Records named the group one of the "50 Next Important Hip Hop Artists" and signed them to a digital distribution/marketing deal. Their critically acclaimed first album, “The Breax,” will be re-released with full digital distribution and marketing in September.

In addition to the above, up-and-coming Christian rap artists Dae-Lee and BBE Clique also are scheduled to perform at the concerts.
